
2017 Rules
ALL classes are spec motor with no timing in the speed controls. Speed controls must be in blinky/no timing mode.
Batteries are to be 2s only. 7.4v max voltage cells with a max peak voltage of 8.44v at the beginning of a race.
Motors for 17.5 Midwest Sport Modified must be ROAR legal 17.5T motors.http://www.roarracing.org/?page_id=251
Motors for 13.5 Winged and Non-winged Sprint must be listed on the 2017 RC Chili Bowl legal list and meet ROAR specs.

Tires:
All classes except for SC Modified will utilize AKA Rebar tires in either soft or super soft compounds and use AKA red soft inserts only. Tires nor inserts may be modified in any way. Both 17.5 Midwest Sport Modified and 10.5 Midwest Modified are allowed the option of running 2wd front tires/inserts or 4wd front tires/inserts on 2wd front wheels.
SC Modified will utilize SC Rebars in soft or super soft compounds with AKA red soft inserts or SC Impacts in any of the three compounds. Impacts must also use AKA red inserts.

SPEC Tire Prep will be Sticky Kicks Red or Blue. No other tire prep is to be used at the track. This is in an effort to keep moisture in the track providing better track conditions and the least amount of tire wear possible while still allowing a prep.
If you are found to be leaving a chemical slime on the surface you will be asked to remove the car immediately. You can return with legal tires in the next heat or the next week if caught in a main. PB Blaster will not be tolerated as a tire prep. Liquid Wrench and WD40 will do the same thing so please do not try these either.

Approved bodies:
2015 DODC Midwest Modified body rules with the following modifications:
Sail panels must be curved or slope down starting at the rear of the roof and end .250" in front of the leading edge of the spoiler cap. It may not be taller than the spoiler cap at the rear.
Sail panels must be solid, no cut outs.
Rear spoiler max cord length of 1"
OPEN SHORT COURSE MODIFIED:

Chassis:
Any 2wd short course truck
Chassis must be original manufacturer Short Course chassis kit, No after market, special designed oval type chassis allowed.
4wd chassis allowed, must remove front drive shaft & half shafts and battery must be in stock location.
After market shocks & springs allowed
Motor may be mid or rear engine only if original manufacturer designed it to be changed.
Wheel base length 12.75”-13.5” Width 11”-11.75”
Battery must be mounted down the center of the chassis. Electronics can be mounted on the left within main chassis plate only.
Body:
Must look like USMTS, UMP, or IMCA dirt modifieds
Body must cover both rear wheels but must expose the entire tire, No skirting/shielding of rear tire.
Front wheels must remain open
Rear spoiler allowed, not to exceed 1.5" off of deck
End caps allowed, may run center support brace
End caps no larger than 1.5"x3"
No other side damns or down force device allowed
Max body dimensions: width 13”, height 8”
Max overall length of body including spoiler 26 1/2”
Bumper:
Rear bumpers are required. A front bumper is highly recommended. If no bumper is used, then the front nose must not be a
sharp or pointy object and must be able to absorb contact
